Sumamente apropiados

They appear to have taken an acceptable level of data coverage at appropriate sources and conducted a thorough adjustment to be able to model with them. The approach is a fairly simple model but the choices are well justified, clearly explained and assessed in its weaknesses. Some of the factors mentioned in the intro that fall outside of the scope of the study are left out of the analysis which contributes nicely to the clarity and focus, but reappear in the policy reccomendations.

The policy reccomendations in my opinion exceed slightly the conclusions that can be drawn from the modelling - I think they are in that sense a little subjectively phrased and ordered but not unreasonable.

No hay ilustraciones en este preprint. The formula presented for the model is not very illustrative, and unfortunatley the explanation of the terms as presented on the website has crashed and is unclear due to the special characters(this should be fixed). The data could be shown in more interesting ways - maybe the readers would appreciate a map or some other representation to understand better the nuances between regions that help the authors understand / detangle the factors at play.

Muy clara

The deliberation follows a clear structure which first puts the deforestation rate as the dependent variable, then calculates the price increases that carbon payments could contribute to rubber prices. I think the findings are well explained

¿Es probable que el preprint promueva el conocimiento académico?

Moderadamente probable

The preprint provides some estimates and covers its intended literature gap which is commendable. I am not sure if the publishing of these estimates advances the understanding of the topic - for me it was a first contact with the rubber production pricing in Colombia and I liked the author's introduction and choice of quantitative factors to study. There might be similar or comparable studies of other agroforestry compatible crops - it would be good to know if their behaviour respective to deforestation is the same (which might be) The predictions if policy followed would be an interesting hypothesis test.

I found it nicely written and interestingly angled. My sister is a sociology student and she went on a study visit to Colombia; I am an environmental science graduate with interest in climate finance, and this article was a read I could comment with her.
