The Bloch sphere is a powerful tool for visualizing qubits, but what does it represent physically? My new paper, "A Geometric-Realist Ontology for the Qubit in the HLV Framework," proposes an answer from the perspective of the Helix-Light-Vortex (HLV) theory.

The work offers a geometric-realist ontology for the qubit by mapping the basis states (\ket{0}, \ket{1}) to stable, helical resonances within a discrete "Space-Bit". Quantum superposition is reinterpreted not as an abstract probability, but as a real, physical, yet unstable intermediate state—a concept visualized in the accompanying figure.

Furthermore, the paper shows how the measurement process ("collapse") and even fundamental quantum gate operations can be modeled as physical transformations of these geometric structures. This paper bridges the gap between the mathematical formalism of quantum information and a physical model of reality. I welcome all to read and discuss it.
