Thank you to the authors for introducing this novel solution to major bottlenecks in data format. It is clear that a harmonised format across all platforms and vendors is necessary for the future of omics approaches as it will ensure compatibility and promote multiomics approaches too. From my experience, I have a few questions/concerns that I hope can be answered in the future:

  • How do you plan to ensure system-agnostic support across different operating systems and cloud environments?

  • This is a concern, Vendor companies mostly encourage the use of their own software for all the applications regarding their instruments. How do you plan to make them cooperate towards a harmonised solution to ensure that all vendor formats are convertible? (over the mentioned advantages to vendors). And this is connected to adoption of the new format by the community too.  To me, it seems like the biggest issue towards this implementation.

Thanks again for your efforts and I hope the objective is reached successfully in the future
