In this work, we analyze the risks inherent to the use of technologies associated with the digital practices of young university students, focusing on issues related to cyberbullying. The quantitative method was chosen through a questionnaire survey, administered to 255 young people from public higher education in Cape Verde. Through cluster analysis, profiles of use of digital social media were built to demonstrate that the strategies undertaken, namely the greater use of this type of platforms, is associated with greater proximity to cyberbullying phenomena. Additionally, we demonstrated that the higher levels of educational attainment of parents are positively associated with an attitude of greater precaution and care with digital security.
