We present a unified formal framework combining Entropy-Driven Information Phase Transitions (EDIPT) with Cryptographic Forgetting (CF) into a single co- herent architecture. The framework has two components of different epistemic status, which we maintain throughout. Component A (proven): CF provides a cryptographically rigorous methodology for irreversibly destroying source material while preserving functional intent via information bottleneck resonance distillation, with security reducible to the Decisional Diffie-Hellman (DDH) assumption. Com- ponent B (proposed): EDIPT proposes that collaborative human-AI cognitive systems undergo qualitative phase transitions when an entropy-distance product D × S exceeds an empirically proposed threshold of 150 (in nats 2 ). The D × S threshold formalizes a class of irreversibility phenomena observed in collaborative information-processing systems. We provide rigorous definitions, proven theorems for Component A, and clearly labeled conjectures for Component B. Both com- ponents are released as prior art under the Open Computational Patent License (OCPL-1.0) to prevent proprietary enclosure.

You can write a PREreview of Entropy-Driven Information Phase Transitions and Cryptographic Forgetting: Toward a Formal Framework for Cognitive Irreversibility. A PREreview is a review of a preprint and can vary from a few sentences to a lengthy report, similar to a journal-organized peer-review report.
