This paper presents an overview of recent studies on dwarf galaxies, which are among the most numerous and diverse systems in the Universe. It discusses the morphological types of dwarf galaxies, their mass ranges, and the methods used to determine their masses, including both kinematic and photometric techniques. Furthermore, the paper explores the current understanding of the formation and evolutionary pathways of dwarf galaxies within the broader context of galaxy formation theories. Existing cata-logs of dwarf galaxies are also reviewed, highlighting the significance of new discov-eries particularly of ultra-faint dwarf galaxies in shaping our understanding of the early Universe. In addition, the star formation histories of dwarf galaxies are examined using both observational data numerical simulations, offering insights into their complex and varied star-forming activities. This study seeks to highlight major advance-ments in dwarf galaxy research and to suggest potential avenues for future investiga-tions in this dynamic field of astrophysics.

You can write a PREreview of Dwarf Galaxies in Focus: A Survey of Observational and Theoretical Studies. A PREreview is a review of a preprint and can vary from a few sentences to a lengthy report, similar to a journal-organized peer-review report.
