Introduction: Action on the nutritional aspect of the individual has a great impact on the pre-fragile/fragile patient. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between frailty and nutritional profile according to the Mini Nutritional Assessment and Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool questionnaires. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive analytical observational cross-sectional study was conducted at the Center for Research on Longevity, Aging and Health (CITED), during the period from February 1 to October 31, 2024. Results: The predominant age group was over 80 years of age (29.3 %). Of these, 31 % were women, 46.7 % were pre-frail and 20 % were frail. 21.5 % of patients at risk of malnutrition according to NAM criteria were pre-fragile, whereas, with MUST, 10.7 % of pre-fragile patients were at high risk of malnutrition, 14.1 % showed intermediate risk and for low risk 34.1 % were non-fragile. Conclusions: Pre-fragility status predominated in those who presented risk of malnutrition or malnutrition according to MNA or those at intermediate and high risk according to MUST. Both NAM and MUST showed a significant relationship with the appearance of frailty in the elderly, with a slightly greater relationship when NAM was used.
