This article aims to critically analyze the interdiscourses present in the manga Dr. Stone (2018–2020), based on the frameworks of Critical Discourse Analysis (Fairclough), Bakhtinian dialogism, and Foucault's archeogenealogy. The investigation focuses on the symbolic opposition between the characters Senku and Tsukasa, articulating discourses on science, morality, and power. The methodology involves the analysis of verbal and visual excerpts from volumes 1 to 9 of the Brazilian edition, following Fairclough’s analytical triad (textual, discursive, and sociocultural practices), and supported by the concepts of polyphony, discursive formations, and regimes of truth. The results indicate that the graphic narrative functions as a polyphonic discursive arena where different social voices dispute symbolic hegemony. It is observed that science, although portrayed as emancipatory, also operates as a regime of truth and a mechanism of ideological control. The study reaffirms the critical potential of contemporary graphic narratives as privileged spaces for the circulation and contestation of ideologies in the age of post-truth.
