The Alphabet Code: What Happens When You Run a Simple Rule on the Letter "a"

This article is an exploratory look at what happens when you apply one fixed rule to the letter "a" again and again. The rule is deterministic: no randomness, no training data, no guessing. Run it today or tomorrow, on any computer, and you get the exact same string of letters.

The sequence grows to thousands of characters, and by its 24th generation it contains over a trillion letters. It looks random, but it is not. Three things stand out:

The number of distinct short blocks grows slowly instead of exploding.

The sequence grows by a factor very close to π — but it cannot be π, because it is the root of a whole-number equation.

Thirteen of the 26 English letter names share the same underlying structure.

The article says clearly what is claimed, what is not, and what remains open. It is written for a general reader, not a specialist. The exact rule is withheld for now, but the data is public, and anyone can check the numbers.

This is a preprint, not a peer-reviewed paper. It is shared to invite curiosity, questions, and collaboration.
