Major issues

The article has an interesting, engaging and comprehensive.

Although, Abstract and Introduction:

  • The central concept of the “Genetic fence” was not sufficiently defined. Authors need to provide a precise definition and clarify what the concept offers.

Body:

  • The authors need to explain the biological links between the drivers processes and avoid treating the concept as though it was tested and established through practical studies of the mechanisms. Because the evidence provided supports the hypothesis, but it requires stronger support from empirical studies.

Conclusion:

  • The claims that the proposed strategy could prevent cancer or help certain diseases need more direct evidence through biological mechanism.

  • Authors need to acknowledge the limitations of the available evidence.

  • The conclusion should be proportionate to the evidence presented, not on the hypothesis the require further investigation to be demonstrated.

References:

  • The cited articles need to be verified and accurate to ensure that they directly support the claims they were cited for.

  • The reference list does not align with standard of referencing. Author should ensure that all the name of authors for a cited article are mentioned in the reference. et al. Is not accepted in reference list.

Minor issues

  • The discussion needs to be organised into clearly defined sections, each addressing one major biological application.

  • The discussion needs to be concise as well.
