Cocoa production faces the challenge of reconciling productive goals with environmental sustainability. This study designed and implemented a pilot model for agroecological conversion on 10 farms linked to CONACADO, integrating agroecological diagnosis, training, agroecological practices, and monitoring. Productivity, cocoa quality, soil fertility, and producer perception were evaluated. Results showed a 12% increase in productivity in the second year and significant improvements in biodiversity and soil organic matter (+15%). Eighty percent of producers positively valued the model, highlighting economic and environmental benefits. This work demonstrates the viability and advantages of agroecology for sustainable cocoa production, establishing a replicable strategy for the cocoa sector.
