Between 1939 and 1960, Dinorá de Carvalho created an original piece for piano titled Lá vae a barquinha carregada de...? and a simplified version under the same name. Later, she renamed the original to Manhã Radiosa, producing a total of seven versions or variants of the original work. This study investigates the relationship between these works to gain insight into Dinorá’s compositional process. The methodology includes a biography of the composer, document analysis, and comparative musical analysis. Findings reveal a 21-year compositional evolution, with Dinorá reworking and refining her harmonic language while recontextualizing the pieces in different forms.
