The promotion of a culture of peace has become a global agenda, recognized by international organizations, governments, educational institutions, and social movements, since its recognition by the United Nations (UN) in 1999, with the proclamation of the period from 2001 to 2010 as the "International Decade for the Culture of Peace and Nonviolence for the Children of the World". This article aims to catalog tools, practices, regulations, and concepts about the culture of peace in scientific production. This is a systematic review that used articles published in SciELO, Redalyc, and the CAPES Journal Portal over the last twenty years as databases. Twenty-two publications were eligible for analysis. As a result, it was observed that the period from 2018 to 2021 was marked by a significant increase in scientific production, coinciding with the period of insertion of the culture of peace as a public policy in Brazilian educational legislation. This increase reflects academic interest in understanding and evaluating the impacts of this policy on national education.
